REM: Where are you from and what makes that place special?

I am from Maine. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Growing up there helped shape me into becoming the woman I am today. I was able to get an amazing balance of outdoor and city experiences. Maine is one of those places that reminds you of how wonderful the simple things can be.

REM: What makes you unique as an actor?

Unique…. I am unique because I make my own path. I do not follow in anyone’s footsteps. I become the characters I create. I have found a great balance between method and Meisner acting that I know plays to my strengths as an artist. I am always pushing in a positive way and look at life with positive energy and drive.

REM: What inspires you?

Everything inspires me! There is inspiration all around you. For example: I am currently writing a short film loosely based on my time spent in jury duty. Even the mundane can be elevated and changed to be a story worth sharing. As an actor I am inspired by people as well as ideas. For example: I watch people all the time and use them as character studies.

REM: What would be your ideal role as an actor?

This is a hard question. Every role is my ideal role. I love exploring all different kinds of roles.

REM: You’re also a model; do you enjoy that more than being an actor?

I do not like modeling more than acting. I am much more of an actor than a model. I modeled on the side when I first transitioned from theatre into film and TV. I have not modeled very much this year. I have a few editorial shoots set up for the summer. These days if I am going to model I prefer commercial work.

REM: What are some of your hobbies?

I have some many hobbies. When I have time I love to be outdoors partaking in hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and exploring.

REM: What are you currently working on?

I am currently working on a feature film that touches on bullying and how it can affect anyone and everyone you know. I am co-producing an off Broadway play called, Royal Justice, which opens in the middle of July. I am also working on a TV show called, Scriptless, in which I am one of the main recurring characters on the show. I am starting to line things up for the rest of the summer and fall.

REM: Where do you see your acting career in 5 years?

My acting career will continue to grow and develop. It will be at new heights. People that go to the movies and watch TV will know my name or at least the characters’ names that I play. It will be wonderful. I am really looking forward to the next 5 years.

REM: Which team are you routing for in the 2014 World Cup?

I am routing for USA.

REM: How can people stay in touch with you?

People can like my Facebook page and stay updated on there and send me messages or you can follow me on Twitter
